This is the second Merit 725T that I ordered (one was for a family member) and as other reviews indicate, not all of the pre-drilled holes line up with the hardware. I either ended up re-drilling holes or kept certain hardware out as long as it didn't affect the use of the treadmill. Overall the treadmill is great for the price which is why I did buy a second one. DAY 1-broken!
i just received the treadmill after waiting a week for delivery, and unpacked it to start assembly. the motor casing is cracked open and the motor has dropped. i called customer support who tried to tell me it was just a cosmetic issue, and i had to persuade him to understand that it was more than cosmetic and that it was broken. he is mailing out replacement parts that will take 7 more days, then i have to schedule an appointment with a tech to come into my house, then wait around and take more time out of my day for something that should have been brand new and functioning. so it may be weeks before i can even use the thing, i will update my review when/if it is assembled...

repair parts have arrived and local repair man will come to fix in three days. great customer service of repair company. they called ME to arrange the appointment.

Some bolts hard to install. No reference to have to find the on/of switch to start it up. It's near the right front at floor level. Not a convenient location. Hard to lubricate base for tread belt, not much room. After setup and getting it started my wife is very happy with it. She really likes the slow start up and slow down feature, instead of jumping on it at full speed. So far a good value for the price. Only part I do not like this treadmill is that sometimes I can not control the speed or other command button. For example, I pressed "1" (lowest) for speed rate, its actual speed was not "1" rather "3" or "4". Also, stop button was not doing its job either. When I pressed "stop", I was expecting it to be stopped within 10 seconds, but it just went on at least a few minutes.
